Insurance to Protect Your Sports Memorabilia

This blog links to a site, My-Sports-Displays.com, that specializes in providing beautifully designed acrylic and glass display cases for protecting your sports memorabilia of all kinds including footballs, football helmets, jerseys, baseballs, golf balls, basketballs and much more.  Really, almost anything you can get autographed or that displays your teams logo you should be interested in protecting.

I came across an article on the internet today that is also about protecting your sports memorabilia.  In the late 1970s, Tom Finkelmeier collected all kinds of sports collectibles.  It dawned on him that there were no adequate policies that protect sports memorabilia for collectors who owned sports memorabilia that had considerable value.  The article states that it is a safe estimate that Tom Finkelmeier’s company insures between 75 and 100 million dollars worth of sports memorabilia.  For more information about this type of insurance, here is the link to the article in the American Chronicle by Rich Mueller.

For more information about protecting your team football helmets, baseballs or more, check out our collection of football helmet display cases and football display cases at My-Sports-Displays.com by visiting http://www.my-sports-displays.com.

Carolina Panthers Football 2006

September 27th, 2006

While the start to the Carolina Panther’s 2006 football season hasn’t been as great as Carolina Panther Nation had hoped for, the Carolina Panthers football team were able to get on the winning track this weekend in Tampa. The Carolina Panthers have had a couple of very close games to start the 2006 football season, but this weekend they were able to hold off the charge of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and win a close football game that had been eluding them over the first two weeks of the season. This improves the Panther’s football record to 1-2 on the season and puts them in a better position as they proceed through league play. The Carolina Panthers’ next task will be to take on the New Orleans Saints who have started the 2006 football season off undefeated and claimed a huge victory over the Atlanta Falcons in the return game to the Superdome. The Falcons have already beaten the Carolina Panthers football team this season and the Saints look to have a serious chance to be a contender in NFL this season.

Pro Football Players Need Somewhere to Store Their Game Balls

Pro Football Players Need Somewhere to Store Their Game Balls

I’m sure you’ve seen it before - I really remember it from back when Emmitt Smith was still playing football for the Dallas Cowboy - but whenever a running back would run in for a touchdown, rather than toss the football back to the referee, they would carry the football over to the sideline and take it home I guess. Now, since Emmitt is the NFL all-time leading rusher, I can’t begin to imagine how many touchdown footballs that he has at home. Now what does he do with them? Does he have them in a box, on a shelf, sell them on eBay? I’m not sure. I’m sure that some of those balls have a very special meaning to him. He probably has his first NFL touchdown, maybe his last NFL touchdown, the ball he was carrying when he broke the all-time rushing record and so on. Emmitt and all of the other gameball collectors in the NFL should look into a football display case from My-Sports-Displays.com to display their footballs.

For more information about football display cases whether they are acrylic football display cases or glass football display cases you should check out My-Sports-Displays.com. It’s Been a Fun Ride Braves

It’s Been a Fun Ride Braves…

Well last night the Braves were officially eliminated for playoff contention.  It’s really no suprise - it hasn’t looked like the season was going to be too successful as the Braves fell to 15 games behind the division leading Mets.  Things started to turn around just before the all-star break, but the Bravos just couldn’t keep the momentum up and the 2006 baseball season would see the end of a very impressive era in Major League Baseball.  The end of Atlanta’s run through the National League.  While the season was a disappointment, there are some excellent players on the team including Jeff Francoer, Andruw Jones, John Smoltz and many more.  Hopefully the management will be able to fill some of the gaps on the team so the Braves can get back in the playoffs next year and Chipper and Andruw can start sending off some homerun balls for all of you baseball collectors out there.

Football Returns to the New Orleans and The Superdome

Football Returns to New Orleans and the Superdome

Tonight Monday Night Football and football in general returns to the city of New Orleans and the Superdome for the first time since Hurricane Katrina.  And it couldn’t be more fitting since the New Orleans Saints, the city’s football team, and the Atlanta Falcons are both coming into the game undefeated having a fantastic start to the 2006 NFL season.  The game should prove to be an exciting time, and some of the most exciting players in the NFL will be participating in the game, including Michael Vick and Reggie Bush the real story of the night will be the city of New Orleans and the way they have been struggling to return to their previous “greatness” from a time before Hurricane Katrina.
